DNRT is looking for volunteers to help as “docents” at our very popular Parsons Reserve during daffodil season starting Saturday, April 1. We are asking for 2 people per 2-hour “shift” (sign-up with a friend!).
Shifts are 12-2pm and 2-4pm during the week; and 10-12pm, 12-2pm, and 2-4pm on weekends and during school vacation week.
Volunteer “docent” duties include greeting visitors, and talking to them about DNRT, the Parson’s Reserve, and the Daffodil Field Rules.
To sign up as a volunteer daffodil docent:
- If you are already registered as a DNRT volunteer, please login to DNRT’s “Volunteer Information Center” here, then click on the “Sign-Up” button, and go to the April and May 2017 calendars to pick your days and times!
- If you are not registered as a DNRT volunteer, you can register here, then follow instructions above.
- If you have trouble signing up, or have any questions, please call us at 508-991-2289.
DNRT will host an “orientation” meeting for all docents at our office at 318 Chase Road in Dartmouth. We have scheduled this orientation meeting for Tuesday, March 14 at 5:30pm and again on Wednesday, March 15 at 5:30pm (choose one or the other). If you would like to be a docent and have not done it before, but cannot attend either of the orientation meetings, please contact Jim Bride at DNRT (508-991-2289).
