
Join us for Story Time at DNRT! Three local authors will be bringing their stories and reading aloud to the kids! We will have three different outdoor areas for reading and then will switch off to promote social distancing. Bring your own blanket or lawn chairs! Pre-registration required.

Sandra Hall is a painter and printmaker. She is a graduate of UMASS Dartmouth with a BFA in painting and has completed advanced work in silkscreen printing, intaglio etching and stone lithography. Sandra lives on the shore of Buzzards Bay with David, children, grandchildren, cats , barn swallows and an occasional mouse in the house! This is her second book; her first book is Home is the Starting Place.
The Mouse on the Catboat – A little mouse and a boat named after his natural enemy. What a combination!! By observing his family in action, Crosby becomes interested in sailing this cat. A windy event on the water makes him thankful he watched and learned. With his knowledge Crosby prepares the Catboat and sails her safely home single-handedly. Reece Arnold is a dynamic, autistic young man residing in the South Coast region of Massachusetts. He received a Master Certificate in Orchestration for Film and TV from Berklee College of Music in 2016. Reece has been featured on WCVB’s Chronicle twice. The first episode in 2014 was about Living (and Thriving) with Autism. His segment was called “His Language is Music” and featured his music skills. This segment was nominated for a New England Emmy Award by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Boston/New England. The second episode in 2020 was about local authors and it featured his book “Mike’s Big Space Adventure”.
Mike’s Big Space Adventure is about Mike, a young boy who loves astronomy. One night, he has a dream he becomes a shooting star and travels through different galaxies in space, meeting new friends – and getting into some scary situations – but having a wonderful adventure along the way!
Through his creative works and company, Reece-Cycled Fun, Reece hopes to inspire other people with autism and those with challenges to follow their dreams and reach for the stars.
