With over two decades of experience, Spencer O’Berry has coached many people to achieve their personal goals of improved health and quality of life through the benefits of Chinese martial arts. A national and international gold medalist, he was featured in the 2008 publication “Extraordinary Martial Artists of the World” and is a lineage holder of the Shushan Wuji Xiaoyao Pai.
Taijiquan (tai chi chuan) is known the world over for its wonderful therapeutic health benefits. This six week course will introduce participants to the foundations of taiji through the practice of different movements and supplementary exercises. Our goal will be to increase stability and balance, strengthen the joints, improve flexibility, establish correct postural alignment and enhance the connection to our own selves. Through practice over time, students will see that while working these concepts their internal health will also be greatly improved. As a beginner course, this class is appropriate for everyone from those with no experience to intermediate and advanced students.
