Notes from the Field – March
The DNRT Trail Crew had a very productive February.
We had 2 work parties this month with a total of 28 volunteers coming out to help. The first work party of February was at Helfand Farm. We did a lot of work clearing invasive plants away from Greer’s Garden. Over time we see plants begin to encroach from outside the fencing into the garden. The Trail Crew also added some much needed deer fencing to help secure the garden.
The second work party was at the property of the winner of our online silent auction. We removed invasive plants from the property, while also helping to get unwanted plants out of the garden beds and lawn. The Trail Crew also tackled a small carpentry project and some power washing. If you are interested in DNRT’s Trail Crew coming to your property, you can bid during the silent auction in August.
Thank you to all the volunteers who came out to help this month!
