Event Specific Benefits

In addition to the previously mentioned benefits, sponsoring these specific events comes with the following benefits:

DNRT's Summer Cookouts are our largest fundraisers of the year. These cookouts are casual gatherings at our DNRT Center at Helfand Farm, featuring catered barbecue, live music, and lawn games. These cookouts run concurrently with an online silent auction. Four cookouts are planned for 2023.

DNRT's Trail Race is a 5K run and 2.4 mile walk through our Destruction Brook Woods property. This November race encourages folks to experience recreation in the great outdoors. All participants are rewarded with free pizza and beer at the close of the race. Trail race sponsors can also provide swag to include in race packets, given to all attendees.

DNRT's Walk Series are seasonal guided walks. Typically, each walk series takes place over a period of three months and will feature a dozen walks. Walks are hosted at different properties and on different topics. Some walks include an owl prowl, spring equinox walk, and archaeology walk. DNRT members are mailed a walk bi-fold card each season, listing all upcoming walks and events. Sponsoring a walk series would include one season.

DNRT's Daffodil Party is a fun, members only party hosted at our famous Parsons Reserve. Wine, cheese, and light appetizers are served while members can meander through the daffodil field. The Reserve is closed to the public for this special evening. This event takes place in late April or early May, depending on Mother Nature!

DNRT's Tai Chi is a six-week series, geared towards beginner Tai Chi students. Classes are held in the summer at DNRT's Helfand Farm location.
