As this year comes to a close, we celebrate our many accomplishments in 2016 and look forward to new opportunities in 2017.
Here are some of DNRT’s accomplishments in 2016:
- Opening Wernick Farm, DNRT’s newest Reserve, in June 2016, an extraordinarily diverse natural area of 62-acres in North Dartmouth. Go take a walk at Wernick Farm! (photos from opening)
- Completing our successful $1.2 million Pathways Campaign and celebrating the completion of DNRT’s new home, the DNRT Center at Helfand Farm, which will enhance our ability to advance land conservation in Dartmouth.
- Celebrating our work with special events like DNRT’s 45 Anniversary Party at Buzzards Bay Brewery (photos) and DNRT’s 11th Annual Barn Bash which raised $50,000 for DNRT (photos).
- Embarking on the Allens Pond Conservation Completion project, in partnership with the Buzzards Bay Coalition, to raise $9 million to protect 217 acres of critical farmland, woodland, and salt marsh habitat including the magnificent Ocean View (Motha) Farm.
DNRT looks forward to bringing you more exciting projects in 2017. Thank you for your support and making 2016 a great year for DNRT!
